With reference to the public statements I gave on various local TV and radio stations in Western Macedonia, and which commented on and referred to the events in the Municipal Unit of Velventos
In the Municipality of Servia-Velventos, in relation to the operation and management of the Agricultural Cooperative known as “”AGRICULTURAL COOPERATIVE FOR THE PROCESSING AND SALE OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES PRODUCTS (ASEPOP) OF VELVENTOU “”I ENOSI”” SYN.P.E.””, which is very active in our area , I can assure that the statements I gave were founded entirely on incorrect information, remarks and comments from third parties, and that I do not accept these remarks etc.
My own policy and strictly personal view is that the Agricultural Cooperative under the name “”AGRICULTURAL COOPERATIVE FOR THE PROCESSING AND SALES OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES PRODUCTS (ASEPOP) OF VELVENTOU “”I ENOSI”” SYN.P.E.”” is the economic bedrock of our area and breathes life into the families of Velventos and the Municipality of Servia-Velventos in general, as it is undeniable that the economy in the wider region of the Municipality of Servia-Velventos would have serious sustainability problems if it did not exist.
The Agricultural Cooperative “”AGRICULTURAL COOPERATIVE FOR THE PROCESSING AND SALE OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES PRODUCTS (ASEPOP) OF VELVENTOU “”I ENOSI”” SYN.P.E.”” is an Agricultural Cooperative which is known throughout Greece and beyond , for its excellent quality products , the rational way it is organised and the pioneering methods it applies to develop even further. This makes it a model cooperative society and an example of how to establish and run agricultural cooperatives.
The Agricultural Cooperative’s policy is set by competent advisers, and it is only logical that they should constantly and exclusively support and fight for the interest of the 400 members of the Agricultural Cooperative and their families. Anything that would hinder the progress and prosperity of such a model Agricultural Cooperative model would be untimely and inappropriate. The operation and management of the specific Agricultural Cooperative is governed by legal rules and morality.
I also know that the actions of this Agricultural Cooperative are governed by well-designed business plans that follow all legal procedures. Consequently, if something was misinterpreted in my public statements, it is in no way related to the Agricultural Cooperative “”AGRICULTURAL COOPERATIVE FOR THE PROCESSING AND SALE OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES (ASEPOP) OF VELVENTOU “”I ENOSI “”SYN. P.E””, and I am in a position to retract it and do so herewith.
